Job Summary

Financial Planning & Analysis is a function within the Finance Department working closely with the finance and executive teams in financial modelling and forecasting analysis including business planning.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving commercial analysis around investment opportunities, performance, projects and cashflow
  • Producing financial MI analysis
  • Coordinate and manage gathering of operational plan data to ensure that data is captured within planning models
  • Oversee the delivery of key ad-hoc business expansion projects working with the relevant departments of the Bank and providing analysis to the executive team
  • Develop reports to monitor changes against operating plans and forecasts
  • Developing, refining and maintaining financial portfolio and financial planning models
  • Ongoing financial analysis to support new strategic and business opportunities

Skills required

  • FP&A experience
  • A background working in financial services
  • Exposure to IFRS
  • Knowledge of best practice financial planning & analysis to support the executives and business
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong experience of producing financial models and business plans
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Is meticulous and detailed in producing analysis and interrogating systems
  • Is able to work towards strict timeframes and is comfortable with multi-tasking
  • Able to demonstrate good organisational and problem solving skills
  • Very strong Excel skills
  • Is familiar with financial ledger systems
  • Is logical and methodical in problem solving
  • The ideal candidate must be fully qualified (ACMA, ACA, ACCA)
