Job Summary

The Credit Risk Analyst will work with the Risk team to ensure the Credit Risk function is robust and managed within the key requirements of the business. They will be responsible for assisting the portfolio analysis and producing MI for different management committees as well as IFRS9 process and reporting. They will work closely with the business to establish the requirements and support the planning and delivery of projects, whilst helping to drive through improvements. They will also play a role in carrying out monitoring activity.

Key responsibilities


• Home financing portfolio analysis to identify and control credit risks to the bank.
• Preparing MI & reporting for the Executive Risk Committee and ad hoc MI for committees as requested.
• Building dashboards detailing specific risks across the portfolios and customer segments.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of different projects across the bank.
• Keeping up to date with changes in the expected loss (IFRS9) and other related regulatory landscapes.
• Develop an analytical and reporting framework that supports broader Enterprise-wide activities such as business plan stress testing.
• Contribute to the building and development of the broader analytical capability within the Bank.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

Skills required

Essential skills, knowledge and experience
• Experience of working as a Credit Risk Analyst for consumer portfolios, preferably mortgages.
• Good knowledge of MS Suite and either of Python or Power BI skills required for MI reporting and analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to convey complex ideas/insights to non-technical members of the team.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast paced growing Analytics team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work operate independently as well as part of team.
• The ability to build good working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

•Understanding of SAS coding and MS Fabric.
•IFRS9 methodology and process
•Different retail product understanding.
•Model understanding and MI automation
