Gatehouse Bank announces appointment of new Chief Investment Officer

Gatehouse bank, a leading Shariah compliant investment bank, is pleased to announce the significant appointment of a newly created Chief Investment Officer role. Mr Abdulaziz AlDuweesh, current Executive Vice President and Head of Wealth Management & Structured Finance, steps up to the challenge in the Bank's core operating function in the City of London. Mr AlDuweesh's promotion forms part of Gatehouse's five-year growth plan, with the role being created due to the evolution of the Bank and its ambitious strategy to meet client and shareholder expectations alike.

Mr AlDuweesh has extensive investment banking expertise, having spent 15 years managing international equities and hedge fund activity on a global basis, including 11 years at National Investment Company in Kuwait. He stated, “Gatehouse Bank is currently positioned for growth, hence the role I'm taking as the CIO gives us the opportunity to realign business functions and develop a structure more suitable for our banking operations. This will enable us to manage our investments more effectively and develop new investment products across different asset classes.”

Gatehouse Bank has achieved £1.4billion of real estate acquisitions, with a current asset portfolio exceeding £1billion following successful disposals of two UK assets of late; a 15,300 sq ft office complex in the heart of San Francisco, US, and Oxford Brookes University student accommodation complex in the UK.
