Job Summary

To assist Regulatory Accountant in preparation of all Regulatory returns in a timely manner and to help with automation of returns where possible; to prepare and circulate daily Capital and Liquidity reports internally. To assist in the product control function and in the close of month-end, quarter-end and year-end process.

Key responsibilities

Daily Reporting

Preparation of the following daily reports:

  • FX
  • LCR
  • NSFR
  • Daily Dashboard
  • ALMIS
  • Automation of reports

Regulatory Reporting

Assist with the production of regulatory reporting by undertaking the following:

  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Analysis including variance analysis
  • Review of IFRS 9 ECL data back to Balance Sheet Analysis
  • Project work to semi-automate balance sheet analysis

Daily Reporting

Preparation of the following daily reports:

  • FX
  • LCR
  • NSFR
  • Daily Dashboard
  • ALMIS
  • Automation of reports

Regulatory Reporting

Preparation of the following monthly regulatory returns:

  • C66, C67, C68, C69, C70, C71
  • LCR
  • PRA110
  • Develop and maintain procedures for above returns
  • Document assumptions for above returns

Preparation of the following quarterly returns:

  • Own Funds
  • Leverage Ratio
  • Large Exposures
  • Net Stable Funding
  • Asset Encumbrance
  • FinRep
  • MLA
  • PSD
  • Develop and maintain procedures for above returns
  • Document assumptions for above returns
  • Project work to improve data quality and automation of returns where possible
  • Assist in the preparation of ALCO pack

Financial control

  • Prepare the daily deposits movements reconciliation and adjustment
  • Prepare month-end and quarter-end adjustments (the tasks may vary from month to month)
  • Prepare various reconciliations as requested by Finance team
  • Ad hoc investigatory requests by the Finance Team and other employees of the Bank.

Provide cover to Financial Reporting team members when necessary.

Skills / Education

  • A recognised university degree
  • Part qualified (ACMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Background working in financial services
  • Exposure to IFRS
  • Experience of working on previous regulatory returns

Required knowledge & skills:

  • Meticulous and detailed in producing analysis and interrogating systems
  • Able to work towards strict timeframes and is comfortable with multi-tasking
  • Able to demonstrate good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Very strong Excel skills.
  • Familiar with financial ledger systems and regulatory returns
  • Logical and methodical in problem solving
