Job Summary
The Regulatory Reporting Assistant will assist in the preparation of all Regulatory returns in a timely manner and help with automation of returns where possible; to prepare and circulate daily Capital and Liquidity reports internally. They will also assist in the financial reporting function and in the close of month-end, quarter-end and year-end process.
Key responsibilities
Daily Reporting
Preparation of the following daily reports such as:
- LCR
- NSFR
- Daily Dashboard
Regulatory Reporting
Assist with the production of regulatory reporting by undertaking the following:
- Preparation of Balance Sheet Analysis including variance analysis.
- Review of IFRS 9 ECL data back to Balance Sheet Analysis.
- Project work to automate balance sheet analysis.
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc regulatory returns including the development and maintenance of procedures and the documentation of assumptions.
Other duties
- Project work to improve data quality and automation of returns where possible.
- Assist in the preparation of the ALCO pack.
- Ensure financial controls are implemented and maintained to ensure a strong control framework exists within Finance.
- Prepare the daily deposits movements reconciliation and adjustment.
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end adjustments (the tasks may vary from month to month).
- Prepare various reconciliations as requested by the Finance team.
- Ad hoc investigatory requests by the Finance Team and other colleagues of the Bank as required.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Experience of working in a financial services environment.
- Exposure to various regulatory reporting concepts.
- Meticulous and detailed in producing analysis and interrogating systems.
- The ability to pay attention to detail to ensure regulatory returns are completed accurately.
- The ability to work towards strict timeframes and multi-task.
- The ability to demonstrate good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Familiar with financial ledger systems.
- Relevant university degree of equivalent.
