Job Summary
The Test Analyst reports into the Test Manager and is responsible for the testing of software applications to make sure they work as intended through the creation and execution of predetermined test cases.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring testing is completed to a high standard and in accordance with the agreed test plan.
- Functional testing will be across multiple bank software applications.
- Attending internal and external meetings to understand business requirements and participate in the development process.
- Analyse requirements and design documents to develop a range of test scenarios.
- Write and execute test scripts.
- Identify defects, troubleshoot and report to the appropriate team, including third party suppliers.
- Writing and updating user documentation and operational procedures.
- Work closely with the Test Manager to ensure sufficient resource, appropriate testing frameworks and robust reporting is in place.
- Help identify areas for test improvements and support the Test Manager in delivering this.
- Ensure all testing follows the Gatehouse Bank change management process and all testing evidence is stored in accordance.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
- Demonstrate strong customer focus, both internally and externally and where applicable promote improvements in customer processes, policies and engagement.
- Build and maintain lasting working relationships with colleagues and any relevant external contacts.

- Support the development of a strong team with high standards of risk awareness and ethical behaviour.
- Follow all policies, procedures, frameworks, rules and regulations (and any other related documents) applicable to you as an employee of Gatehouse Bank in the performance of your duties.
- Ensure that the Bank is managed safely by escalating any issues to line management on a timely basis. This includes notification of all risk events.
- In addition to the responsibilities summarised above, you are required to comply at all times with the Conduct Rules set out in the FCA Handbook and the PRA Rulebook.
Skills and qualifications required
- Testing experience on application and account management platforms.
- Third party working experience.
- Planning and organisation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Logical and critical thinking skills.
- Worked previously on IT and Business projects.
- GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Please note this is an office based role which can be based from either our Wilmslow or Milton Keynes offices and offers up to 3 days per week working from home.
