With a rent only Home or Buy-to-Let purchase plan, your monthly payments are only paying the rent on the Bank’s share in the property and do not reduce the amount of finance outstanding or buy the Bank’s share in the property. This means that, when your finance term ends, you’ll still need to buy the Bank’s share in the property and settle the original finance amount.
