Gatehouse Bank awarded Most Innovative Mortgage Product in The Banker’s Islamic Banking Awards 2026

Gatehouse Bank has been recognised with the “Most Innovative Mortgage Product” award by The Banker in this year’s Islamic Banking Awards for its UK payment account in partnership with Algbra.

The partnership aims to support customers residing overseas who are looking to buy a property in the UK by allowing them to manage their home finance payments through a dedicated payment account. It is available to UK expats and international residents acquiring a home or investment property in England and Wales with Gatehouse Bank and is part of the home finance offering for customers applying via Gatehouse Bank’s qualified Direct Adviser team or who are referred by its broker partners.

Established in 2013, The Banker’s annual Islamic Banking Awards recognise the most forward-thinking and impactful work in Islamic finance globally across the themes of product innovation, standout deals and advancements in sustainability practices. Winners underwent a rigorous judging process, with a focus on market impact, financial results and the strength of customer-focused, Shariah-aligned solutions.
