Gatehouse Bank named UK’s Best Islamic Bank
Gatehouse Bank has been named the UK’s best Islamic bank.
The Shariah-compliant challenger bank was given the accolade by international media group IFN, following a record number of votes being submitted by subscribers. The announcement comes a week after Gatehouse clinched Moneynet’s Best Ethical Savings Provider award for the second year running.
Charles Haresnape, the bank’s CEO, said: “We are extremely proud to be named the IFN Best Islamic Bank in the UK 2020 and are grateful to all those who voted. At Gatehouse we pride ourselves in striving for excellence of products and services to our customer and a prestigious award like this helps underline our significant achievements.”
Andrew Morgan, Managing Director & Publisher at IFN, said competition for awards had been particularly intense.
He added: “The IFN Best Banks Poll, which serves as a barometer of Islamic banking excellence, garnered the highest number of votes in its 16-year history, making the 2020 edition its broadest and largest with over 26,000 votes cast. And we’re delighted to announce that Gatehouse Bank, a bastion in the industry, has again been voted best Islamic Bank in the UK. Recognition well deserved following an exceptionally challenging year for the finance industry.”
