Gatehouse Bank's Green Saver accounts named 'Best Ethical Savings Initiative'
Gatehouse Bank is celebrating another award win after its new Green Saver accounts were named Best Ethical Savings Initiative 2021 by a leading authority on personal finance products.
The MoneyComms Top Performers accolade was announced recently. It recognised Gatehouse’s consistently competitive rates for its fixed-term accounts and Cash ISAs, all of which are Green Saver products – where a tree is planted for each account opened and the carbon credits registered on behalf of customers.
Charles Haresnape, CEO at Gatehouse Bank, said: “Our Green Saver accounts were launched in February, and we are thrilled they have made an impact so quickly, earning important industry recognition.
“As an ethical bank, we take environmental and sustainability issues to heart, and planting new woodlands in a way which is aligned to the growth in our savings business was one practical way we could contribute to taking action on climate change.”
MoneyComms is a leading personal finance website which helps people get a better understanding of money products and how they work, with the aim of helping the public make better financial decisions.
Andrew Hagger, the site’s founder, said: “The award is fully deserved with Gatehouse Bank consistently offering competitive Fixed Term Savings and Cash ISA rates, underpinned by an ethical and environmental foundation.”
The award follows hot on the heels of two other prestigious awards, in January Gatehouse was named Britain’s Best Ethical Savings Provider at the Moneynet Personal Finance Awards 2021, as well as being named the Best Islamic Bank in the UK by the Islamic Finance News Awards 2020.
