Buy-to-Let Eligibility
Please confirm that you and/or any applicant:
UK Residents:
- Are buying a property in England or Wales.
- Be aged 21 or over.
- Seeking finance of at least £75,000 (up to £5m, or up to £10m by referral).
- Meet the minimum income criteria:
- First-time landlords (not owner occupiers): Minimum income £18,000 per year.
- Combined First-time Buyer and First-time Landlord: Minimum income £18,000 per year.
- Income top-up cases: Minimum income £32,000 per year.
- [Please note: no minimum income required if you own another property in the UK and do not require the income top up facility].
- Require a minimum term of 5 years up to a maximum of 30 years.
UK Expats:
- Are buying a property in England or Wales.
- Seeking finance of at least £75,000 and up to £5m (Up to £10m can be considered by referral).
- Aged 21 or over.
- Earning at least £18,000 per year or £32,000 if income top up is required.
- Employed for a minimum of 3 months with your current employer OR self-employed for a minimum of 2 years.
- Require a minimum term of 5 years up to a maximum of 30 years.
International customers:
- Are buying a property in England or Wales.
- Seeking finance of at least £75,000 and up to £5m (Up to £10m can be considered by referral).
- Aged 21 or over.
- Earning at least £18,000 per year or £50,000 if income top up is required.
- Employed for a minimum of 3 months with your current employer OR self-employed for a minimum of 2 years.
- Require a minimum term of 5 years up to a maximum of 30 years for UK Expats\International applicants.
