Job Summary

To provide both a reactive and proactive telephony service that will support the Bank establish and maintain strong working relationships with brokers and introducers which in turn will contribute to the acquisition of new finance business.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver a great customer experience to the brokers and Introducers in line with our regional contact strategy
  • Proactively identify and research new and existing business opportunities
  • Assist with the generation of leads to drive new business, grow distribution partners and create new business opportunities
  • Provide broker support in conjunction with the Key Account Managers and develop effective working relationships
  • Support the on boarding of new distribution partners by following all Bank due diligence policies
  • Utilise Shariah compliant marketing and sales materials, where appropriate
  • Create, maintain, and implement a regular contact strategy with a group of brokers agreed with the Head of Intermediary Sales and Key Account Manager
  • Maintain and regularly develop market knowledge of both the traditional mortgage and Home Finance market to assist in a professional and knowledgeable interactions with brokers
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and laws relating to business development always ensuring compliance with the FCA’s Code of Conduct in the execution of duties
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to direct enquires to other business areas in an effective manner

Skills required

  • Strong Home Finance market knowledge, in particular of the Buy-to-Let market and the legislation covering the sector
  • Good working knowledge of competitors operating in the market
  • Strong verbal communications with experience of interacting effectively over the telephone both externally and internally
  • A strong numeracy capability to support educating brokers increase their knowledge and understanding of the Gatehouse Bank proposition
  • Effective internal collaboration with key departments (e.g. Operations)
  • General awareness of Shariah compliant residential finance
  • Risk and Regulatory standards awareness and adhered to
