Lower Rates and New Stress Tests for Gatehouse Bank’s BTL and HPP Products

We are pleased to announce that we have today reduced rental rates across Buy-to-Let (BTL) and Home Purchase Plans (HPP) products for UK residents. These changes aim to make our offerings more competitive and accessible.

Rate Adjustments:

  • Buy-to-Let Products: rental rates reduced by 10 basis points for 2-year fixed rental rates and 20 basis points for 5-year fixed rental rates for new and existing UK customer
  • Home Purchase Plan Products: rental rates reduced by 25 basis points for new and existing UK customers

Effective immediately, we are also reducing stress rates to enhance home finance and buy to let affordability for our valued customers.

New Stress Test Rates:

  • For all 2-year Buy-To-Let products, including Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) and Multi-Unit Freehold Blocks (MUFB), the stress rate will be reduced to 6.50% or the payrate if higher (previously 7%)
  • For all our 2-year Home Purchase Plans (HPP), the stress rate will now be set at 1% above the payrate (previously 7%)
  • All 5-year fixed term products will continue to be stressed at payrate
